8th Annual Spring Luncheon and Silent Auction
Proceeds to benefit Caterina's Girls
Caterina's Girls began more than eight years ago when Anaheim White House proprietor Bruno Serato's mother (vacationing from Italy) visited the Boys & Girls Club. His mother, Caterina, learned that most of the children at the club between 5 and 6pm live in motels and do not eat dinner because their families could not afford it. Caterina returned to the Anaheim White House and told her son to prepare pasta for 100 children. Serato now serves a pasta dinner to 300 homeless motel children each night and has served more than 275,000 free dinners to the children since the program began in 2003.
